Congrats to Meghan Fahy, who went from covergirl to front-and-center with her full-time step up into the role of Natalie in Broadway’s Next to Normal. Well done, Ms. Thang, you better grab that spotlight good!

fringe fest – already on it!!!
Inner flappers and rhinestone cowboys rejoice – it’s totally time to bring in the fringe! The flirty movement-filled look is starting to rock summer ensembles, be it the main “Ooh/Ahh” or sassy, simple embellishment to an already WERK ensemble. But to be fair (and ever so modest), ds had it out in full swing before the “famouses” (what can we say, we’re SO ahead of the curve). Just ‘memba where you saw it first, and get shimmying!
But wait, what have we here? DS BRINGING THE TREND when last in LA!!!

custom menswear for the masses
Okay, fine, we’re in a state of money consciousness. We all know it, all feel it, but who’s to say that should stop us from having that special “MMMmmmm” that comes with a custom-made garment? Even the financially challenged deserve to feel famous every now and again, right? Well, for the man who loves a little extra TLC in his tailoring without the treacherous tab, we give you: www.mysuitny.com. You can build your very own custom suit from their website (fabric, lining, cut and all), and in two weeks feel like that extra special VIP we know you can be!

dsdsgn: partnering with a power couple
Tera-Lee and Enrique Brown are, first and foremost, our Top ‘O The List friends. They also just so happen to be no-joke dancers, having racked up more than their fair share of Broadway and 1st Nationals Touring companies – they’re the real deal when it comes to twirlin’ and kickin’, ya’ll! As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve now embarked on choreography and master classes for the people, and believe us, they preach what they practice…
We grand jetted across the floor when we were assigned the honor of designing their site! Just recently launched, it boasts photos by dirty sugar and site design by dsdsgn, dirty sugar’s web and graphic design partnership.
Go on ahead – slip on your La Ducas, and with a 5-6-7-8 check out their site!

Taking Stock of Chelsea
Yes, she was Ariel in Broadway’s The Little Mermaid, but make no mistake: Chelsea Stock is so much more than a Disney princess! We were surprised and delighted to experience not only the sweet loveliness one would expect from an ingenue starlet, but also a sassiness that will no doubt make her a force to be reckoned with in her future endeavors. WERK, Ms. Chealsea, and thanks for making us part of your world (c’mon, how could we resist?!)

mirror mirror on my feet, are you the envy on the street?
High fashion vs. lower back pain – we’re torn.
The drama and beauty of a clever and interestingly architected shoe is truly something to behold. And to be the owner of such a shoe, even if you can only wear it for 4.7 seconds before your biscuits start burning and you’d sell your soul for a pair of bathroom slippers, makes the pain and suffering worth it (I mean, c’mon, who needs the feeling in their legs when they look THAT good?).
Behold, for the emperor in all of us, the “Invisible Shoe”:
Gorgeous and to-die-for, but just thinking about walking more than three steps in these mirrored beauties gives us crater-sized bunions and cramping calves. Has Brazil’s Andreis Chaves made your dreams come true with this creation or given you seven years of nightmares? Let us know!
a) AAAAAaaaarrrrrrgggghhhh! Shame on you for wanting them!
b) MMMMmmmmmmmmmm! Shame on me for not having them!
Oh, and check out more of Ms. Andreis’ conceptual and architechual designs here!
