Congrats!: Brandon Rubendall and cast of Spider Man!

Congratulations to Brandon Rubendall and the cast of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Word on the street is that this brilliant cast started to rehearse their web-slinging this week.  We for one certainly can’t wait to see what Julie Taymor and the rest of the team are cooking up!  Previews begin November 14th with an opening slated for December 21st 2010.

fringe fest – already on it!!!

Inner flappers and rhinestone cowboys rejoice – it’s totally time to bring in the fringe! The flirty movement-filled look is starting to rock summer ensembles, be it the main “Ooh/Ahh” or sassy, simple embellishment to an already WERK ensemble. But to be fair (and ever so modest), ds had it out in full swing before the “famouses” (what can we say, we’re SO ahead of the curve). Just ‘memba where you saw it first, and get shimmying!

But wait, what have we here? DS BRINGING THE TREND when last in LA!!!

and this we just HAD to put in...

dsdsgn: partnering with a power couple

Tera-Lee and Enrique Brown are, first and foremost, our Top ‘O The List friends. They also just so happen to be no-joke dancers, having racked up more than their fair share of Broadway and 1st Nationals Touring companies – they’re the real deal when it comes to twirlin’ and kickin’, ya’ll! As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve now embarked on choreography and master classes for the people, and believe us, they preach what they practice…

We grand jetted across the floor when we were assigned the honor of designing their site!  Just recently launched, it boasts photos by dirty sugar and site design by dsdsgn, dirty sugar’s web and graphic design partnership.

Go on ahead – slip on your La Ducas, and with a 5-6-7-8 check out their site!

all I want for christmas is a sensible production number and some break-it-down by Vera Ellen

…uh, yes, Mr. Bartender: We’ll have an 18″ waist on ballerina legs with a serious splash of John Brascia – extra sass – please.

P.S. The freak-out flip at the :49 mark of “Abraham” alone already made our New Year.

Peace, Love and Tear-It-Up

Okay, so we don’t usually follow a video with a video, but it’s Woodstock Remembrance Time, and there’s no way we’re doing anything else to commemorate it. Prepare to go to Hippy Heaven, courtesy of Carlos Santana’s mescaline-induced trip and then 19-year-old Michel Shrieve’s mind-blowing drum solo, with the legendary Woodstock performance of Soul Sacrifice…man.

ain't nothing like the real thing, baby

So, Katie Holmes performed C’mon Get Happy a la Judy Garland on the 100th episode of SYTYCD. You know, good for her, she gave her best twirl out there, no doubt…we’d just rather watch the real deal. We thought you would, too.

Kelly Rowland giving you the Hit of the Summer?

Some of us just swear it makes us feel sunny and ready to fall in love.

Others just swear and feel ready to slap a mouth or two.

Help us solve this dance-beat dilemma! Click on that comment link and give us either:

A) OOOooooohhhh! Stacks of cash! or
B) BOOooooooooo! In the trash!

WE WANNA KNOW!
