Congratulations to Brandon Rubendall and the cast of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Word on the street is that this brilliant cast started to rehearse their web-slinging this week. We for one certainly can’t wait to see what Julie Taymor and the rest of the team are cooking up! Previews begin November 14th with an opening slated for December 21st 2010.
One of our very own inner-circles, the illuminating Ms. Joanie Leeds, found time away from touring in Turkey to pass along an article that popped up in TONY Kids. Besides her sparkling review, we know her to be a real-life gem – Kudos, girl!
Tera-Lee and Enrique Brown are, first and foremost, our Top ‘O The List friends. They also just so happen to be no-joke dancers, having racked up more than their fair share of Broadway and 1st Nationals Touring companies – they’re the real deal when it comes to twirlin’ and kickin’, ya’ll! As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve now embarked on choreography and master classes for the people, and believe us, they preach what they practice…

When the Christmas season rolls around, we look forward to pepperminty coffee drinks at the local cafe, layering ourselves in thick cable knit sweaters, counting gifts with our names on them (LOTS of gifts with our names of them!!), and also whipping up some quirky, dirty sugary poster art for our dear and wickedly-humored friend, Daniel Reichard. This year’s offering is called “Gettin’ On The Good List”, and will play at the The Ailey Citigroup Theater, December 12th through December 14th. We can pretty much promise an evening of holler, laughter, and people doing things that might actually make you fancy being on the naughty list…’tis the season!

We need to send some love out to our boy Michael Benjamin Washington, who just broke it down NBC-style with his appearance on 30 Rock! In case you don’t watch the multi-Emmy Award-winning show (that makes two of you including my Grandma) he guest starred as Tracy Morgan’s “long lost son” who’s trying to scam money so he can open a tae-kwan-do studio. Oh, and he betta KICK!!!!
